Non Applicability of Wealth Tax for CA Final November 2015 Exam:

The ICAI has recently issued a notification on 23-04-2015 regarding Non Applicability of Wealth Tax for CA Final November 2015 Exams. According to this notification, Wealth tax Act and Rules there-under WOULD NOT be applicable for CA Final November 2015 Examination. The ICAI has cleared the doubt about the Non Applicability and Applicability of Wealth Tax for CA Final November 2015 Exams.

Is Wealth Tax applicable for CA Final November 2015 Exams?

The council, at it's 342nd meeting held from 15th April to 17th April 2015, decided that the Wealth Tax Act, 1957 and Rules there-under would Not be applicable for November 2015 Examination, even though the relevant Assessment Year for November 2015 examination is AY 2015-16. Accordingly, Wealth tax Act and Rules there-under Would Not be applicable for November, 2015 examination of  Paper : 7 Direct Tax Laws.

CA Final Amendments for November 2015 Exam Amendments in Financial Reporting

The ICAI has been amended the Syllabus of Accounts for CA Final and IPCC November 2015 Exams. The Institute Of Chartered Accountants OF India has issued a notification in regard to this matter. The ICAI has issued a notification dated 30-05-2015 specifying modifications in the syllabus of Accounts in CA Final and CA IPCC Exams.

According to the Amendments applicable for November 2015 Exam, some changes have been made. Some topics are "Excluded" and "Included" in the revised syllabus in Account's Paper of CA Final & CA IPCC.

Exclusions w.e.f. Nov 2015 Exams:

CA Final
Paper 1:- Financial Reporting Overview of International Accounting Standards (IAS)/ International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Interpretation by International Financial Reporting Committee (IFRIC), Significant differences vis-a-vis Indian Accounting Standards, Understanding of US GAAPs, Applications of IFRS and US GAAP.

CA IPCC
Paper 5 :-Financial Reporting of Electricity Companies

Inclusions w.e.f. May 2016 Exams:

CA Final
Paper 1 : Financial Reporting Introduction of Indian Accounting Standards ( Ind AS): Comparative Study of ASs vis-avis Ind ASs: Carve outs/ins in Ind ASs vis-a-vis International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs).

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organises CA CPT, CA IPCC and CA Final Examinations twice in every year. CA CPT is the entrance level exam and CA IPCC is intermediate level exam conducted by the ICAI. CA Final Exam is the last step to become a Chartered Accountant. Recently, the ICAI has conducted the CA Final and IPCC Exams in May 2015. CA IPCC May 2015 exam result is likely to be declared on 15th August 2015.

However, The ICAI has not yet made any official announcement about the CA IPCC May 2015 Result Date but it is expected that it will be declared between 15th August to 20th August 2015 on the official website of ICAI www.caresults.nic.in.

CA CPT June 2015 Result is also expected to be declare on the same day when the result of CA Final May 2015 will come out.
